Kindness

Reflection: I think that this quote means that to be kind is to be great or meaning in other words that if you are a kind person then your are a great person. For example in the picture the man is giving the homeless women his own pair of shoes when the floor is really hot. That shows that he is a kind person and that he is a great person.  

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day

In the United States, the modern Thanksgiving holiday tradition is commonly, but not universally, traced to a poorly documented 1621 celebration at Plymouth in present-day Massachusetts. The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest.

Twelve things that I am grateful for are that I have parents and that I have a family. I am also grateful for a roof over my head and for the food on the table that I am provided for. I am also grateful for the wonderful church that I am in, I’m grateful for the great friends I have; I’m grateful turkeys because they are so good. I am also grateful to be alive and grateful for the knowledge I have of God so I can become wiser as I grow. I am also grateful for the free education I have, I’m grateful for my clothes, and I’m grateful for electronics.

Reflection: I think that this quote means that don’t do anything that is not right and don’t say anything that is not true. An example of this is do not smoke or drink because it is bad. Also, do not say or talk about a rumor that is not true about people in school.

Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:  The duties and responsibilities of a dental assistant is that they have to seat the patient and also they have to pass the tools that the dentist needs for the patient. Also, exposing and developing x-rays.

Salary: The salary of the dental assistant ranges from the scale of $23,550-$47,580

Education: It takes a short period of time to become a dental assistant. Dental assistants receive their education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools. Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates.

Reflection: I would like to work as a Dental Assistant because being a dentist is a pretty interesting job to observe the demonstrations and procedures of the dentist and that makes me very interested. Also, because I can  work with the patient.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Dental laboratory technicians specialize in different areas of dental and orthodontics work. Their jobs usually include making and repairing dentures, crowns, and braces.  They work in dental schools, commercial dental laboratories, hospital, dental clinics, and for manufactures of dental prostheses Dental Laboratory technicians.

Average Salary: $ 22,000-$33,000

Educational Requirements: Dental laboratory technicians must have a high diploma or GED certificate before starting dental laboratory training. Dental laboratory technicians must attend a community college, vocational school, or dental school to learn their skills. Programs are usually two years in length.

Reflection: I wouldn't like to be a dental lab technician because the career does not interest me. But I would like to be an ordinary dentist because that does actually catch my attention.

Reflection:  I think that this quote means that what we do right now can affect the people in the future either if we do bad or good things. For example the 9/11 attack had happened 13 years ago and it still affects us today.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day–a common misunderstanding, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. …" The original concept for the celebration was for a day observed with parades and public meetings and a brief suspension of business beginning at 11:00 a.m.

                                       

Reflection: Veterans Day is a very special day not because we don’t have school but because we thank the U.S soldiers who fought for us. My thought about Veterans Day is that it is great to thank and greet the soldiers who fought for our country.

Reflection: I think that this quote means that you can win whether or not you are not in a sport because if you are applying for a job then there must be a whole bunch of other people applying to that job. So then if we get that job you have won.

Reflection: This quote means that if you know something is not right don't do it. Be honest to yourself because like W. Clement said "have the courage” and you must have the courage to do the right thing even if your friends don’t.

Integrity

Integrity: The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.

Synonyms: Honesty, Honor, Decency, Sincerity, Trustworthiness.

Examples of Integrity: The principle here at HPIAM is known to be a man of Integrity another example can be to be honest.

Proverbs 13:20

Reflection: This quote in the book of Proverbs says that those people who hang out with foolish people will become one of them a fool!! , but those who hang out with those who are wise shall become wise like them.

Dance/Movement Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Dance movement therapists use movement and dance within a therapeutic environment to help individuals of all ages who are experiencing physical, psychological, emotional or mental problems.

Salary: In 2004, the average earnings of dance/movement therapists generally ranged closer to $40,000 - $50,000 a year, with some earning $60,000 - $80,000 a year or more.

Education: In order to become a dance/movement therapy you must have a ADTA also known as the American Dance Therapy Association .

Reflection: I wouldn't like to be a dance/movement therapist because as much as the career sounds I don’t know how to dance. I know that I can learn but I am just not teachable.
