The Sting of the Scorpion

What I think about this quote is that the boy knew what was right to do before he when out for a walk but instead he didn't choose the right, he was not obedient and he paid a price for that disobedient choice of not putting on his shoes that he was told to where and because of that he was stung by a scorpion. I think that it tells us that in life don’t make the disobedient choices instead choose the right and maneuver around the stings in life.

When You Tell One Lie It Leads to Another
Paul Hatch
When you tell one lie, it leads to another               So you lie and lie without

tell two lies to cover each other                                 even trying and each lie will

Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,                keep multiplying till the wide

You’re in trouble up to your ears!                              Till the whole wide world will

So you tell four lies to try to protect you                 you’re lying then you’ll be

Then you tell five lies so folks won’t suspect                                 Suspected

                                    You                                                                 Detected

Then you tell six lies and you’ll collect                                             Rejected

A life filled with worries and fears                                                     Neglected

Cause you can’t remember how many lies                                      Disliked

                        You’ve told                                                              and you should!

And half the things you say aren’t true                    when you lie, you’re closing the
                                                                                       door On everything good.
And sometimes you’ll slip up, you’ll trip up                        the door on everything good.

                        And then

Whatever will become of you?

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. Twelve things that I am grateful for are that I have parents and that I have a family. I am also grateful for a roof over my head and for the food on the table that I am provided for. I am also grateful for the wonderful church that I am in, I’m grateful for the great friends I have; I’m grateful turkeys because they are so good. I am also grateful to be alive and grateful for the knowledge I have of God so I can become wiser as I grow. I am also grateful for the free education I have, I’m grateful for my clothes, and I’m grateful for electronics.

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day–a common misunderstanding, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. …" The original concept for the celebration was for a day observed with parades and public meetings and a brief suspension of business beginning at 11:00 a.m.
