Final: Part 1

1.               What I liked about the class was that  we learned about doing the right thing and that because this school is a medical one and college prep that we learned different jobs in the medical field so what we can do when we get older.
2.               What I did not like about the class was that I didn’t learn anything about computers like programs and all the other things.
3.               The only recommendation is to teach more about the programs in the computer.
4.               I did my very best in this class.
5.               I do read my life planning goal book well most of time other times I can’t whether it because I couldn’t finds it or I left it at home and I go somewhere else.
6.               I am committed to be a CTR person because it will hlp me good in life and be happy.
7.               I will always remember how to make my blog.

Student Success Statement

“Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, the ultimate choice, is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. THE ULTIMATE CHOICE is:

To be a CTR person-to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!!

Reflection: This quote means that we always need to choose the right and out of all the choices that we all make the ultimate one is if we are going to choose the right or we are going to choose the wrong.

Student Success Statement

“Success is not an accident. Success is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you have of tomorrow.”

Alan Stein

Reflection: I think that this quote means that when you fail at school or in life it isn’t an accident and don’t try to make any “excuses” because it was your choice to fail in school or life. Also an example is about Stephen Curry he trained and worked hard on being the best 3 point shooter in NBA history. It was his choice to do that and he did.

Student Success Statement

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”

Thomas Carlyle

Reflection: I think that this quote means that when someone does not have a dream it’s when you don’t know where you’re going there is nothing that is leading you into a direction like if a ship didn’t have a rudder and also we wouldn’t have any purpose to go anywhere if we didn’t have a dream. Also it when you need to create a goal in order to go in a direction and to succeed and live life. If you don't then it just creates no excitement in your life.

Beautiful character
If there is beauty in character,
There will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
Conclusion:
If there is beauty in character,
There will be peace in the world.

Character Counts
“The Six Pillars of Character”
The six pillars of character are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
Trustworthiness is the character where someone is able to trust you with anything. An example is if they let you borrow a book and then you have to take care of it because they trust you and if you bring it back with pages ripped out they won’t be able to trust you.
Respect is a big characteristic because you need to be respectful of other people and their religion/beliefs, of their items, and them in general.
Responsibility is probably the most serious one. You need to be responsible, and it also involves trustworthiness like with the book you are responsible for that book because the person that let you borrow it trusts you.
Fairness has multiple situations when it is different because you have to come down to an important decision. For example, let’s say you have two cousins Daniel and John who are fighting over some candy now Daniel had already eaten some candy and now wants the rest but with John he didn’t have any candy so then you come to a choice where John gets the candy because it is only   fair.
When you care for someone you need to also be nurturing for what you care for. For example, you care about your parents you can’t be mean to them but then again you care for them you need to also be nice.

If you have citizenship in a country, you have the right to live there, work, vote, and pay taxes and you need to apply yourself to that.

“I would prefer to fail with honor than win by cheating.”

Sophocles

Reflection: This quote by Sophocles means that he would prefer to lose or fail with big honor than to win by cheating in any kind of way. Also, I think that an example of this is to lose in a basketball game trying and with honor then to use steroids and to beat the other team but with cheating and you have to carry all that guilt for the rest of your life to remember that day that you have cheated and won by lying to yourself and to a lot of other people.
Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the days that reminds us and to remember those who died serving our country. Memorial Day is on May 25. Ways to honor the fallen veterans is to go to the cemetery where the fallen hav been buried or their memorial to show respect. Also, for me because I know a friend who served and a little bit of his companions have fallen so I think I’ll spend my day with him to honor his friends who have fallen in combat.

“Nothing is gained in doing what’s wrong”

Wilford Woodruff

Reflection: This quote by Wilford means that when you do something wrong you do not accomplish anything and you do not gain anything, but when you do something right you will gain something really good. An example is that if you cheat on a test for a moment you will gain a good grade but after the teacher finds out you will lose that gain and you have only gained detention and consequences. Now if you do not cheat and you studied you will have gained a good grade and rewards when you let your parents know.

The Nicest man in the World

This is an incredible story because a man Patrick Morgan that woks at the airport finds an iPad with $13,000 and he didn’t keep the money or keep the IPad he did the right thing and turned it in to find the owner and as a “reward” the owner gave him $60 out of $13,000 but he didn’t keep his reward instead he gave some to a homeless woman and a fellow worker at the airport. Also his good duty was recognized and his boss gave him a check for $625 and a certificate for being honest. He got a little reward and gave it to people who need it and then he got a bigger reward. The lesson is to be honest and you will get a big reward whether right there on that moment or later in the future.
Student Success Statement

“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self esteem.”

Dr. Laura Schlessinger

Reflection: I think that this quote by this Dr. means that when we choose the right and make the right choices we get many rewards for doing it whether its money, food, or anything but she says that the most important reward and the reward you mostly get is an internal phenomenon which is you get self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem. Also, you feel good.0 When you do something good you always and should feel good that you helped someone or a lot of people, but when you do something bad you might feel good at the moment but then later on you will feel really bad.

Video Reflection

I think that this real life story was amazing because I think that it was very hard for both Renee and Eric. What happened was Eric had killed Renee’s daughter Megan and her friend Lisa in a car accident which was really bad. As pain full and hard it was for both Eric and Renee, Renee decided to forgive Eric for what he had done. Also I think that it shows that she is a good person and Eric should be thanking her for that. Now Renee and Eric go to schools everywhere to tell kids that drinking and driving is really bad and can affect you and other people so much.

Student Success Statement

“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.”

Alan Paton

Reflection: What this quote by Alan Paton means is that when someone does something really bad to us then we can only do one thing that will heal us and set us free from that grudge and it is to forgive. Forgiveness is the only way to freedom. An example is when a friend pressures his other friend to take out their phone so they can look at an inappropriate website and he listens because he said the teacher won’t see. Next thing you know the teacher saw and took away the phone and saw what they were doing. The boy got it back the next Friday but was really mad at his friend because he trusted him. The friend said I am sorry can you forgive me? And the friend said yes.

“I dare you to stand alone.”

Thomas S. Monson

Reflection: I think that this quote by Thomas S. Monson means that we shouldn’t follow the whole crowd at school or in public we should stand alone if they are doing the wrong thing like rioting or burning down houses or even doing drugs we should not follow them into temptation. We should do our own thing that is right.

How to get in: The Biola admissions process usually begins the fall or winter of a student's senior year in high school, when an application is submitted. Reflection: I would like to go to this University because it is a really good one in this environment because it is a Christian university and I am Christian. I have been there for a conference for young adults and I really did enjoy it I got to see the dorms, lunch areas and different buildings but I also got to learn more about God which is important. Also when I went there were many applications and it is very easy to get in I just need to get the right grades and the right requirements. This is a university that I have been inspired to go to and it is one of life planning goals to go to this university and I will right victory next to that goal.

Student Success Statement

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”

Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection: What this quote by Theodore Roosevelt means is that every moment at every day the only best decision you make is to do the right thing and from there on you will be a successful person and a happy one too instead if doing the wrong thing and feeling bad all the time an carrying that guilt with you everywhere. For example, your find money on the ground and go into the store and the person in front of you says they lost their money then you give them the money you found whether if it was theirs or not that is doing the right thing.
Life Planning Progress Post

Currently I have 115 goals in my life planning goal book and I have had many victories I have achieved 94 out of 115. So I must say that I am proud of myself for having more than half of my goals achieved. One of my favorite goals that I have achieved that I would like to share is eating 1 whole pizza under 45 minutes now I thought I was it going to make it because 8 slices of pizza under 45 minutes may sound easy but it was not  I got to the point when I never wanted to look at a slice again but I did anyways.

Video Reflection

Dr. Bob I would say is probably the best doctor in the whole world by the looks of it. He is a great doctor because all the money he makes he gives back to his patience whether through a birthday cake a girl has never gotten before or just money in general a check to pay for the prescription medicine. Also, I would just be so proud of him because he is putting all of his patients before him which shows that he is not greedy but that he is caring for total strangers in a bad neighborhood where other doctors or pharmacists wouldn't even open their car doors but Dr. Bob opened his door to the whole neighborhood. Also, everyone thinks and knows that Dr. Bob is a really great man and to some people he is everything to them.

Video Reflection

This event was just impacting on I think everyone that’s how powerful it was for the competing team to go up there and help Sarah make her first home run even though she was injured and she was on the opposite team. Just imagining the whole world was like that everyone being helpful and watching out for one another whether you know them or not it makes a huge impact on others. Also, when Liz and Mallory said that she deserved it shows big sports man ship. So much sports man ship because they even lost they could have won by just saying that she injured herself just leave her there so they won’t get the point but instead they helped her up and lost but everyone had a victory that day.
