Health
Sciences Librarian
Duties and Responsibilities:
A health science librarian provides
access to medical information through books, pamphlets, journals, tapes,
multimedia presentations, and the Internet. Health science librarians help
health providers, patients, and students sort through the vast amount of information
available.
Salary: The salary for a Health Sciences Librarian is $58,000.
Education: The education requirements for this career are for a
student to graduate from high school, taking classes such as English, math,
typing, and science. A four-year bachelor's degree is then required, including
courses such as science and computer science. A master's degree in library
science (MLS) is mandatory.
Reflection: I would not like to be a Health Sciences Librarian
because the fact that it actually really is interesting in my opinion I just
think it is too many requirements to apply for this job educational wise. Also to
me the salary for a librarian is good but might as well be a ordinary
librarian.
